Microsoft launches its Mobile 6.1.
Here are some screenshots (apologies for the quality, my Blackberry is not good in the dark):
So basically underneath the time you have a bunch of icons that give you instant views on appointments, messages, missed calls, etc.... Kinda like what Blackberry's been doing.

U can copy and past numbers and text with that all too familiar clunky windows interface.

This is pretty neat though. It does a search as you type the character, kinda like what happens when you punch in characters when looking up someone's number, but this does it in messages and email as well.
It's also going to be licensing flash, bringing Silverlight to mobile and the web browser will view sites in full view, not just in a truncated mobile format - kinda like what Opera mini does already. They showed a working version of YouTube on the mobile phone.
Also launching is the Experia X1 from Sony Ericsson, which has an iPhone like interface running on Windows, off course.
I think this picture sums up Microsoft in one word: boring!
Sprint's CEO & President, Dan Hesse, launched a phone called the Instinct, which looks just like an iPhone but is apparently faster cos he said so and it runs on Sprint.
He spoke about Sprint's dedication to providing faster data services and committing to WiMax for their 4G tech.
He also mentioned that they were providing more open platforms for developers. Just last month they made it available for customers to view off-deck (external) HTML websites with their phones. WOW, now that is really exciting. not.
