According to the latest Alexa figures Facebook now has a bigger audience than MySpace. While MySpace continues to annoy users with advertising and spam, Facebook is appealing to a larger and broader audience.
all over interactive and innovative marketing
This is awesome, but I'm really shocked that it's only happening now actually! I would have expected this to be for quite some time now, it's shocking that people would put up with such a horrible site such as MySpace for this long!!!

The reason is because a lot of people in the US are still on MySpace. It's a big mission for people to migrate across to a different social network unless all their friends are there.
There is some cannabilizing happening from MySpace, but I think a big factor is that Facebook is attracting a different audience to MySpace (at least here in the US it is)
For younger people, their MySpace profile is pretty much who they want people to think they are. Facebook is about who you are, not who you want people to think you are.
