TV Shows turned into same-time online game

This is a really great idea created by area/code, the guys who gave us sharkrunners, pacmanhattan and plundr.

During each episode of The Hills on MTV you can play MTV's Backroom. Essentially while the show is playing you can go online and post witty comments. Each comment can then be  voted on by other players to see who provides the wittiest comments.

The game launches on Monday.

Best Buy - Good Experience turns Bad

So I got this email recently out of the blue from Best Buy saying that my membership has been upgraded to the most elite level: black. I wonder if there is an organization that decides what colors represent which levels.

Here's the email:

Having made a few large purchases at Best Buy, this kinda felt cool that they were rewarding me. Until I got this email the next day.

So first they apologize that they send this to me in error and then they rub it in my face by going on about how great black membership is. Are you serious??

What about rewarding me for wasting my time reading both emails?
